Course Description
The i4Geo Geospatial Science & Technology Series is a dynamic, hands-on workshop series designed to provide participants with advanced skills and practical knowledge across a broad spectrum of geospatial analyses and applications. All modules can be taken in a ‘watch and learn’ style, however some also offer the option to bring your own laptop and follow along with exercises, provided necessary software and files are preloaded.
The Google Earth Engine (GEE) workshop is a part of the i4Geo Geospatial Science & Technology Series, designed to dive into specialized geospatial processing techniques using GEE. Participants will explore land cover classification, learning both supervised and unsupervised methods, and assess the accuracy of their results. The course also covers water mapping techniques, using indices like NDWI and MNDWI to analyze water bodies and detect changes over time.Course Outline
